The F3 is the third generation of Nikon’s professional “F” series film cameras. It was the top professional camera from it’s introduction in 1980 until the F4 was introduced in 1988. Even then, the F3 stayed in production until 2000. What you get is a traditional, manual focus, manual advance, film SLR with an accurate electronically controlled shutter, and manual, as well as aperture-priority auto exposure settings. The traditional cloth focal-plane shutter is simple, reliable, and lasts forever. It is extremely rugged; built for press photographers, photo-adventures, and scientists.
