Edward Szczepanski
It was in the high sierra nevada mountains when Edward Szczepanski was handed his first SLR camera. He began photographing the vast landscapes amongst the many before him in Northern California. Growing fond of this new tool, the single lens reflex, Ed began to explore the capturing of light through his own research, assisting multiple photographers, and attending courses and seminars all over the country.
While attending courses at Academy of Art University Ed was shooting weddings all over the Bay Area as well as covering local sports teams such as St.Mary's University, USF, and Cal. Finding the many avenues of photography his desire to learn more about the craft grew. Courses in Location Lighting, Photoshop, Digital Imaging, Studio Lighting were among the many at Academy of Art University that he explored.
Eventually his photography took him to New York where he and a colleague opened a portrait studio in Smithton, NY. While in New York Ed began to Instruct Classes for Berger Brothers Camera stores on Long Island where he enjoyed sharing the knowledge he had gained over the past 15 years. After 3 years exploring the world of photography in New York Ed has found himself in St.Louis where he continues to share his photographic skills and knowledge. |
